Jumping Jacks is a new breakfast, afterschool club and play scheme opening in February 2022. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and supportive individuals that are passionate about working with children.

Do you have a childcare qualification or are you experienced in working with children?
Do you like making a positive difference in a child’s life?
If so, please apply for a Playworker position in one or all of the clubs that Jumping Jacks offers.
Breakfast club: 6.45 – 9.15 am Afterschool club: 2.30-7pm (term time only)
Playscheme shifts: 7 am -7pm 12-hour shift or 6-hour shifts available (School Holidays only)
Payscale ranging from £8 to £12 per hour (pay based on qualifications and previous experience)

Playworker Job Description and Duties

• Ability to work with children aged 4-12 years old in one large setting.
  Plan and deliver a variety of engaging, educational activities across the age ranges.
• Able to support children with special educational needs (previous experience desirable).
• Ability to develop positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Be responsible for safely transporting a group of children to and from school.
  Prepare hot and cold nutritious snacks for the children.
• Follow setting up and closing down procedures, safety procedures and risk assessments in line with Polices and Data Protection.
• Attend weekly planning meetings outside club hours.
• Commitment to furthering your own professional knowledge and skills.
